The animals are the advisors, doctors and assistants of the Hopi. It is through the animals that the Hopi defeat monsters and find cures for disease.
The Bear (and the Badger) knows all the roots and herbs and how to use them.
Kachina Animal Spirits can remove their skins, hang them up and become men.
This dancing Bear Kachina is distinguished by such colors as blue, white, yellow or black. This kachina belongs to the animal kachina or Popkot Kachinas. The animals are advisors, doctors, and assistants to the Hopis. The bear is considered to be a great doctor and also a great warrior and hunter. The animal kachinas represent the possibility of relationships closest to true friendship between the Kachina Spirits and the Hopi.

The kachina measures: 15 inches high; 11 inches wide (not counting the bow); the base is 5 inches in diameter. The base was glued to a display at some point and has some, what I believe to be, museum glue on the bottom.
It adds action to any collection with its dancing pose.
It is in excellent condition with no damage.
